Manasseh Azuri Awuni survives accident last nightadmin
Multimedia journalist Manasseh Azuri Awuni escaped a near-fatal accident on Tuesday night after a speeding taxi run into his car.
The investigative journalist disclosed his ordeal in a post on his Facebook page, insisting “it could have been a different story” had it not been for the Grace of God.
Narrating the incident, Manasseh said he was trying to initiate a turn when a speeding taxi rammed into his vehicle, pushing his car about 30 metres back.
According to him, he sustained some minor injuries on his head and shoulder, but was quick to add that he is stable and fine at the moment.
He added that the taxi driver also escaped unhurt, while also thanking all who were concerned about his life following news of his accident.
Manasseh wrote: “I went home last night without my car, but I’m happy I woke up with my life intact. I thank God for my life. It could have been a different story. I was turning to left and had duly indicated that. A speeding taxi overtook the vehicle behind me and violently slammed into mine.
“That force pushed my car backwards about 30 metres away before it halted. I sustained minor head and shoulder injury, which doctors say are not acute. They will confirm from the scans that will be running. I feel better this morning. Thankfully, the taxi driver was not hurt.
“I have taken the time to write this because some of you are worried seeing posts about it (such as the one below) and calling. Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer all the calls. I just want to say I’m fine by the grace of God. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. God bless you.”
